Delete Your Extinguisher Scanner Account

Delete your account in the app, or start a deletion request directly from this public webpage if you no longer have access to the app.

The account-deletion and subscription guidance below applies to iOS with the Apple App Store and Android with Google Play.

Option 1

Delete your account in the app

In Extinguisher Scanner, follow this path:

Settings → Advanced → Destructive Actions → Delete account

You will receive two confirmation prompts. If the deletion completes successfully, your online account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Local inspection data remains on the device unless you delete it separately.

Option 2

Request deletion without the app

Send an email with the subject “Extinguisher Scanner Account Deletion Request” from the email address associated with your account. This lets you initiate deletion without signing in to, reinstalling, or being redirected to the mobile app.

This public request pathway is available at https://extinguisherscanner.com/delete-account.

Support may ask you to verify ownership of the account before the request is processed. We will not ask for your password, authentication token, payment information, or full purchase receipt.

Request processing timeframe

Request-processing time and data-retention periods are different. The current Privacy Policy does not specify a fixed completion timeframe for external account-deletion requests. This statement concerns request processing; it does not state that Extinguisher Scanner retains data for any particular period.

What account deletion removes

Your Extinguisher Scanner Supabase authentication account.
The display-name metadata, email address, account identifier, authentication identifiers, and sign-in metadata associated with that account.
A request to delete the RevenueCat customer record associated with the authenticated account. RevenueCat may complete its provider-side processing asynchronously.

The current implementation does not store inspections, customer records, extinguisher records, photos, or reports in app-owned cloud storage. Those records are local-only and are therefore not erased by online account deletion.

Data that may remain after account deletion

Local database records and references, including inspections, customers, locations, extinguisher records, settings, and branding, remain on your device unless you separately use the app's Delete local app data action.
App-managed photo or branding files, generated or exported reports, copies shared to other apps, and device backups may require separate device-level removal.
Apple or Google may retain billing and transaction records under their own policies and legal requirements.
Extinguisher Scanner LLC cannot delete provider-controlled records held by Apple or Google.

Local inspection data

Local inspection records, extinguisher records, customers, locations, settings, report branding, and stored file references are intentionally preserved when the online account is deleted. Extinguisher Scanner cannot remotely erase local-only data from a device through a website request.

To clear the app's local database records and settings, use:

Settings → Advanced → Destructive Actions → Delete local app data

The app action clears local records and stored references. Files exported, shared, saved elsewhere, or retained in device backups must be removed where they are stored. Depending on the platform and file location, uninstalling the app or clearing its device storage may also be needed to remove remaining app files. Export anything you need before deleting local app data.

Subscription warning

Account deletion does not cancel a subscription

Deleting your Extinguisher Scanner account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. To prevent future renewals, cancel through the store where you subscribed.

Apple or Google may retain billing and payment records under its own policies and legal obligations. Extinguisher Scanner LLCdoes not control or delete those store records.
